HOW TO SHOW HIDE IN WORD 2017 HOW TO
Is Word 2010 showing the wrong name or initials for comments that you are making in documents? Learn how to change the comment name so that your changes can properly be attributed to you when seen by other people viewing the document markup. When you wish to display the changes again, simply return to the drop-down menu in Step 3, but select the Final: Show Markup or Original: Show Markup option. If you select the Original option, then the document will display the text before any of the changes were applied. If you select the Final option, then the document will display the text with the included changes. Kutools for Word releases a handy Display Settings feature to help users quickly to show or hide all kinds of formatting marks, and document contents in the current Word document, including hidden text, placeholders, marks, etc. Step 3: Click the drop-down menu at the top of the Tracking section of the office ribbon, then select the Final or Original option. Use toggle buttons to show or hide formatting marks and document content in Word. Step 2: Click the Review tab at the top of the window. You will be able to re-enable the change markup later so that you can continue working on the document with the changes that have been noted in the markup. It will not accept the changes, but rather hide them from view in the document. The steps in this article will hide any changes that are noted in your document. Fortunately you can hide the markup that is displayed when change tracking is enabled by following our short guide below. So you might be looking for a way to hide the changes without removing them from the document, which will allow you to address the proposed changes later. But occasionally the document will need to be shown to someone outside of the team, and the change markup can be ugly, distracting, and confusing. Word 2013 does introduce a new feature, however, allowing the Ribbon to be hidden entirely rather than just minimized (with the tabs still showing), and you are right that the control for this feature is pretty well hidden (if you hadn't described it, I probably wouldn't have found it and discovered the Auto-Hide setting).
We have previously written about how helpful change tracking can be in Microsoft Word 2010 when you are collaborating with others on a document as a team. An easier way to hide/show the Ribbon is to double-click on any tab.
